"I was lucky enough to purchase my first Waler from Snowy Walers back in June 2007, "Snowy Idriess" or Trooper, as a rising 2yo gelding before I knew anything about the breed. Trooper was the first horse I got to break in and train exactly the way I wanted. He had the quietest, calmest nature (with just the right amount of character) and the most incredible powerful movement. Richard and Lorna stayed in touch over the years, always encouraging and congratulating us in our equestrian pursuits (having done everything from trail riding, horsemanship, mustering, feedlot work, lead horse for breaking, ARC and now showing!).
Because of the wonderful bond I formed with Trooper, our herd has expanded to four Walers... Another gelding as Mum's riding horse and two fillies, one of which also came from Snowy Walers! "Snowy Milton Keynes" or Key is truly stunning with exceptional movement. She's only a yearling and so has lots of maturing to do yet, but has a very quiet, inquisitive nature and will make a wonderful bold riding horse in the future. I can't thank Richard and Lorna enough for getting me involved in Walers and giving me the opportunity to own two of their amazing horses!" - Beth
